Got back Monday evening from a wonderful vacation! Lots of food, family, and fun! And dogs! AWESOME DOGS! My sister has a 2 year old boxer. She gave me some bruises from her jumping but she is the sweetest thing you will ever meet! Big-time licker too

~KenCumpian and I celebrated 7 years together on Sunday too!


Tried some "new" food too:
hummus (plain tasted the best. the flavored ones were too strong for me)
crooked-neck squash (I actually bit into them rather than just swallow them whole)
more garlic (love it!)
reduced wine in a sauce (I hate alcohol but it tastes good cooked as long as it is in moderation and not too strong).
tomatoes (still don't like them but I can pass stewed ones more)
mahi mahi (yummies!)
sprigs of rosemary in mashed potatoes (different but good)
Peach slushie with tapioca balls. They were pretty good though not an instant fav.


I also learned a valuable lesson: If you are going to eat a 3/4lb bacon cheeseburger, DO NOT drink a root beer float first!!

Saw San Fransisco, Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, and Berkley. We stayed in Benicia, which is 30 miles from both SF and Napa.

The Bay Area is as far south as I will live when I move out of Southern California. I LOVE IT THERE!!!
